What do you like to eat? The Seattle area is home to a myriad of eateries, ranging from casual neighborhood favorites to fine dining establishments. Located on the Puget Sound, fresh seafood is a hallmark of many Seattle restaurants.

French, Italian, Mexican, Central/South American, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, Nepalese, seafood, steak houses, pubs, Southwest, fusion, Ethiopian, Pacific Rim, and more...you can find a little of everything when you go out to eat in Seattle.

Below are a few North Seattle favorites, as well as dining guides for the entire metropolitan area.

THE BERKSHIRE GRILL
2132 N.Northgate Way
(206)417-0707

The Berkshire Grill has been a North Seattle favorite since 1999. Specializing in Northwest inspired cuisine, they feature an award-winning wine list (all bottles are 1/2 price Sun.- Thu.). Steaks, fresh seafood, poultry, pasta, savory salads, delectable soups. Come in to try the creations of executive chef Javier Ruelas & staff, and don't miss the amazing homemade desserts Helma Borg creates from scratch.

ROSITA
7210 Woodlawn Ave. NE
(206)523-3031

Family-friendly Mexican restaurant located just a few blocks off Green Lake. Great food, large menu, and reasonable prices. Decent selection for vegetarians. The fish tacos are a menu highlight. Fresh, warm, just-made corn tortillas. And, of course, excellent margaritas.

BLUWATER BISTRO
7900 Green Lake Drive
(206)524-3985

One of three Seattle BluWater restaurants (located in the now-defunct Six Degrees Greenlake building). Steaks, burgers and more at mid-range pricing. Big booths, even bigger windows, and great views.

SNAPPY DRAGON
8917 Roosevelt Way NE
(206)528-5575

Quality Chinese food in the Maple Leaf neighborhood. Here's a few reviewer quotes from their website: "Judy Fu's authentic Chinese food is always delicious" (Bon Appetit, Sept. 2000); "Snappy Dragon is the best Chinese restaurant north of the International District" (Seattle P-I, Nov. 1996); "...single-handedly brought to Seattle's attention the virtues of Mandarin home cooking" (Sidewalk Seattle, Dec. 1998)
