Seattle is known as the Emerald City – a great destination for vacationing or business. With the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges, the San Juan Islands, the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall, the Seattle Art Museum and Asian Art Museum, Boeing and Microsoft, to mention just a few, there is no better destination for a business trip or family vacation.

Seattle is also a great stopping point for an Alaskan cruise; either a drive or a ferry ride to Vancouver, Whistler, or Victoria, British Columbia; a drive to Mount Rainier; or April’s Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.

Whether your interests are physical or cerebral, exciting or relaxing, wild or serene, the Seattle area offers a myriad of activities for every interest.

We are also very close to nearby hot travel spots such as:

Bainbridge Island and Olympic Peninsula - Washington is home to the country’s most extensive ferry systems that can take you to the scenic Bainbridge Island or the Olympic Pensinsula, featuring Olympic National Park.

Take a ferry from the Seattle waterfront or the Edmonds, Mukilteo, or Anacortes ferry departure points.

Mount Rainier – It’s just a two-hour drive from Seattle to mythical Mount Rainier, an active volcano where you can take a leisurely walk or a challenging hike.

Vancouver and Whistler, BC – It’s a 3 hour drive from Seattle to Vancouver, BC across the 49th parallel border to Vancouver, BC. Drive 1.5 hours past Vancouver to Whistler, a world-class World Cup skiing resort. Vancouver and Whistler will host the 2010 Winter Olympics!

Victoria, BC - Take the Victoria Clipper passenger ferry from the Seattle waterfront for a day trip or overnight stay to Victoria, BC (with its famed Butchart Gardens and English teahouses).

Locally, there are a myriad of sights, sounds, and attractions to visit. Be sure to see the Pike Place Market, Westlake Center, the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, Pioneer Square, Northgate Mall, Alki Beach, and Green Lake, just to name a few highlights of the Seattle experience.

You can do all of this using the Seattle Ramada University District North as your base. The Ramada is centrally located (Northgate & I-5), just minutes away from downtown. Arrange with the Ramada front desk for a free shuttle to drop you off or pick you up from the Victoria Clipper.
